NEW INTERNS, SUMMER SCHEDULE, REMODEL UPDATE

It’s hot out there! Oregon can experience some serious heat during Summer. Temperatures in the 90’s and over 100 degrees can be hard on your health. Make sure to stay hydrated and drink plenty of water. If the warm weather is aggravating your symptoms – acupuncture can help you to be more comfortable. And you can relax in our climate controlled treatment room. We keep it cool on the hot days, so you can escape the extreme weather.

NEW STUDENT INTERNS & DISCOUNT TREATMENTS
We are excited to host the next class of Student Interns from POCATech (a Community Acupuncture school based in Portland). Elizabeth Ribeiro and Renee Taylor are 3rd year students in the last year of their program. They’re far along in their training and have already been treating clients for some time in their teaching clinic. They are excited to join our team and meet all our wonderful clients. Starting on 7/30 we will be offering discount treatments during the Student Shifts on Tuesdays 4-7:30pm & Fridays 9am-1pm. Interns are supervised by a Licensed Acupuncturist and versed in a variety of approaches. They may apply different methods based on your symptoms and the clinical requirements of their education. Participation in our Student Clinic supports the future of community acupuncture while providing care you can afford. ($15-$50 sliding scale + $10 for New Clients).

JULY & AUGUST SCHEDULE
Summertime in the Northwest is usually pretty busy with vacations, projects and outdoor activities. Things at our clinic have definitely been dynamic lately with the remodel and staff time-off. The July schedule is highly unusual, there’s no Student shifts until the new Interns join next month, Rob & Tonya are swapping Monday Mornings and some staff will be taking shifts off to enjoy a break and take advantage of the nice weather. This means that appointment availability may be limited, but never fear - August will have more shifts & stability as things settle and the Students begin seeing clients. WAITLIST
The schedule is pretty full right now, so book ahead to get the appointments you need. If there are no spots that work for you, be sure to get on our Waiting List. You can call us (541) 521-6285 or add yourself to the list in our online scheduling system – indicate what days & times you seek and how long it takes you to get to the clinic. If we have any cancellations, we’ll call to squeeze you in.

CLINIC REMODEL
In early July we did some remodeling around the clinic. New floors, new paint, new furniture & lighting. It turned out great, but it’s not quite done yet, we’re still putting on the finishing touches and adapting to our new space. We’re excited for the improvements and are working on fine-tuning all the details. Thanks for being patient as we update the curtains and redecorate the space.
