Student Interns, New Friday Eve Shift, Holiday Hours & Party [November ’26 Newsletter]

Autumn has arrived with colder weather, shorter days and some rain on the way. The leaves are starting to change colors, giving us beautiful red and yellow hues. Halloween and the Election have passed and all of the birds and squirrels are rushing to prepare for the coming season. Here’s what’s new at ACUPUNTURE For The PEOPLE:

STUDENT INTERNS ARE BACK
Now that the school year is back in session, Acupuncture Student Interns are returning to clinic. We are proud to host Student Interns from ORCCA (a Community Acupuncture school based in Portland). You may have already met Chad McCarty as a Student Observer over the last year and now he’s ready to treat clients as an Intern. Starting 11/20, you can see Chad on Friday Afternoons 12:30pm-4pm. He is in his second year and will be supervised by a Licensed Acupuncturist to make sure he’s providing the best care. You may also notice some new Observers as the next class of students join the team. Come in to say “hi’ and get a treatment from Chad at the Student Rate ($15-$50 sliding-scale).

NEW FRIDAY EVENING SHIFT
As we add Interns to the schedule, we have an opportunity to expand our hours. Starting this month (11/20), Jen Kehl L.Ac will be moving to a later shift on Fridays from 4pm to 7:30pm. Now you can come in after work on Friday to start your weekend right with a relaxing Acupuncture treatment.

WINTER HOLIDAY PARTY / FUNDRAISER
The seasons are changing and Winter is on its way. This year we will be celebrating with a fundraising event for our new Nonprofit organization. SAVE THE DATE! Saturday December 19th from 2 to 6pm we invite you to join us for sip-able soup, hot cider and gluten free treats. You can meet the new Student Interns / Observers and relax with a 20 minute Ear Acupuncture session. Treatments are donation based, pay what you can to support our Clinic. The event is open to everyone, so bring your family and friends to introduce them to the benefits of Community Acupuncture in a warm, welcoming environment.

P.S. We will be closed on THANKSGIVING (Thursday, November 26th), but open normal business hours on that Friday 11/27.
