NEW WEDNESDAY EVE SHIFT, CHANGES TO STUDENT INTERNS, UPDATED SICK POLICY [OCTOBER ’25 NEWSLETTER]

Autumn has arrived with colder weather, shorter days and some rain on the way. The leaves are starting to change colors, giving us beautiful red and yellow hues. Halloween is just around the corner and all of the birds and squirrels are rushing to prepare for the coming season. Here’s what’s new at ACUPUNTURE For The PEOPLE:

NEW SHIFT – WEDNESDAY EVE W/ MARCO 4-7:30PM
We are excited to be expanding our hours by adding a new evening shift. Starting October 29th, Marco Caturegli L.Ac will be seeing clients on Wednesday EVE from 4-7:30pm. This will shorten Tonya’s AM shift and Jen K will be working 12:30-4pm. With increased availability, it should be easier to get the appointments you need. Coming up this Autumn, we will be welcoming a new Acupuncturist and expanding Mondays!

UPDATED SICK POLICY
Cold and Flu season are on the way and it’s important to take precautions to keep everyone heathy. We have updated our sick policy, see the whole thing here [incl. Covid guidelines]: https://acupunctureforthepeople.org/clinic-news/2025/10/16/updated-sick-policy The short version is, if you are sick - Stay Home. When you are feeling better with no fever you can return to the clinic but may be asked to wear a mask if it’s been less than 5 days or if you have a cough.

STUDENT INTERNS - ELIZABETH IS DEPARTING, KATIA ADDS TUESDAY
Our wonderful POCATech Student interns have been a welcome addition to our team, offering discount treatments ($15-50) to clients. The schedule is changing a bit, Elizbeth is relocating and will finish her internship at a clinic near her. We will still be offering student treatments during that Tuesday MID shift because Katia will take over in addition to her Friday AM starting in November.

P.S. Summer has ended so we’ve fired up the heat in the treatment space. Feel free to bring your own light blanket to help keep our laundry manageable. Of course if you get chilly, we have plenty of covers to keep you cozy if you need them.
