HOLIDAY HOURS, WINTER WEATHER & POCA TECH

Winter is on its way, the leaves have fallen from the trees and the natural world begins to hibernate. With the shorter days and cold rainy weather you may feel like hibernating too! It’s natural to need more rest this time of year, but don’t forget to stay active and keep your qi flowing. Come visit us at ACUPUNCTURE For The PEOPLE and take a much deserved nap in our WARM community space!

HOLIDAY HOURS: THANKSGIVING, X-MAS & NYE
We will be closed on Thursday 11/28 for Thanksgiving but we’ll be open again on Friday 11/29 in the afternoon (1-5pm) and Saturday 11/30 (9-1). In December we will be closed for X-MAS & NEW YEARS DAY (12/25 & 1/1). We will be open on X-MAS EVE & NYE (9-5pm) if you want a relaxing treatment before the big holiday events.

POCA TECH NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT !
As many of you know, our clinic is part of a unique project to train future community acupuncturists. We partner with a school (located in Portland) POCA Tech, whose goal is to make acupuncture affordable so that graduates can work at community clinics like ours and not be burdened with student loans for the rest of their lives.
If you’ve been treated by interns (Tiffany, Jen, Tia, Renee or Elizabeth) in our student clinic, you’ve been treated by someone trained at POCA Tech! Unfortunately it’s really expensive to run an acupuncture school, and POCA Tech can’t keep tuition low unless we fundraise. If you’ve benefited from these treatments, and want to support more accessible education and in turn more accessible healing spaces like Acupuncture For The People, please consider making a one time or recurring donation here: https://www.workingclassacupuncture.org/poca-technical-institute/the-school/support-us/
This year our fundraising goal is $25,000. It sounds like a lot but like any bucket brigade if we get a lot of people to donate, even a little bit, we will reach our goal easily! So feel free to share this with your friends and family too! Because ANY amount is SO APPRECIATED!
For more information about how we got to that number, please see this newsletter: https://workingclassacu.substack.com/p/1000-x-25

Thank you so much for your support! It helps community acupuncture continue well into the future and offers a safe space to heal.

WINTER WEATHER
It’s been getting colder and we have some freezes ahead in our future.  Winter in Eugene can be mild but some years we get an extreme weather event or two. We usually follow the 4J school closures for snow & ice, but will call scheduled clients if we need to cancel. It’s important to us that everyone stay safe, so if you need to cancel due to weather, we will waive the No Show Fee.

Have a warm & welcoming holiday season!
