NEW ONLINE BOOKING APP, ALLERGIES, 20th ANNIVERSARY PARTY [MAY '26 NEWSLETTER]
/Spring has sprung! The sun is out, May flowers are going crazy and people are rushing to get their gardens planted. Sunny days can mean a higher pollen count, so if you have allergies it may be helpful to keep windows closed and after you spend time outside be sure to change your clothes and take a shower to keep allergens out of your living space. Check out what’s happenin’ at ACUPUNCTURE for the PEOPLE…
NEW ONLINE SCHEDULING
This is big news! We’ve been wanting to upgrade our office systems for a while now and the dream is finally coming true. This will mean some changes to your booking experience, but hopefully it will be an improvement for everyone. The new system is called JaneApp, here’s what to expect:
We are switching over June 1st, so there may be limited access to online booking during the process (probably on 5/31). You can always call to schedule – 541.521.6285
You will receive a Welcome Email with a link to the new system and instructions on how to get set up.
All client info has been imported into our new system, so you can use your email address to sign into your account. (there are a steps to follow)
You will still get appointment reminders, but they may look a little different. Plus, you can now be notified via text messages in addition to email. [Be sure to OPT IN to messaging if asked]
New Features: You’ll be able to see your upcoming visits, appointment history, even download receipts. Be sure to check that your contact info is correct and we have all your details in the new app.
NOT UNTIL JUNE 1st: You can sign in and get acquainted, but scheduling won’t be turned on until 6/1. Continue to use our old system until then. The link to book appointments will appear when it goes live.
Update any saved links or bookmarks on your computer or phone. If you do happen to go to our old site, there will be a forwarding link to get you to the new page.
Superbills: If you get summary receipts for Health Savings Accounts or Insurance Reimbursement, now may be a good time to request Superbills for the first half of 2026 (Jan-May). Of course we will be able to provide this documentation at any time in the future, but after we archive the old data, requests may need extra processing time.
GOT ALLERGIES?
Grass pollen is high in the Willamette Valley between Memorial Day and July 4th –that’s right now! You don’t have to suffer though, acupuncture can help with the sneezing, runny nose, stuffed sinuses, itchy eyes and scratchy throat. We can also work on boosting your immune system so that you are less sensitive to allergens and can enjoy the outdoors. Pollen can get in your hair, so remember to change your pillowcase regularly and wash your hands after handling your outdoor pets.
ANNIVERSARY PARTY
Mark your calendars – July 3rd 2026 is Acupuncture For The People’s 20-year Anniversary. We will be celebrating with an open house community celebration from 12:00-6:00pm featuring free ear acupuncture and ear seeds offered throughout the day with light refreshments. More details to be announced soon!

P.S. With the changes to our office systems we will be discontinuing the .50 cent credit / debit card fee starting 6/1. We will continue to offer the convenience of running a card, but the clinic incurs the cost, so we prefer cash or check payments. Keeping our expenses down helps us to provide quality affordable care to the community.
